We call them Tea Stains because Coffee Stains sound too simple. Coffee stains imply that we've been spending sleepless nights, while working other jobs, trying to make useful elements. Somewhere during the night our need for sleep overwhelms our caffeine induced rampage and we haphazardly spill our mochachokalino, giving birth to another product. That's all said and good, but what's important here is perceived value. And Tea Stains give the perception of a snooty British aristocracy. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if we're going to sit down and have a drink with the British it will preferably be a pint of ale, not some snot nosed drink that reeks of arrogance and bland silliness. To be fair to tea, it is good for staining paper to make things look cool, old, or both.
