We're serious when we tell you that some people want their video to look like film. Why? I don't know, maybe it's because film is so expensive, that way giving a film look to your video is like pouring molten gold over a plaster statue. Around here at Rampant we have many gold statues covered in plaster, it keeps away the thieves, and makes the statues look old. Especially the statue we have of an old guy that lived a long time ago. We figure that if people want their video to look like film, then they want old film, none of this new-fangled digital cinema for our friends. They like it old and dirty. That's why in order to create our Film Dirt and Scratches Elements we went way back, back to when old film screamed to you that it was old. We went back to before color, before sound, back before there were even actors and sets. We went to the age of film being shot on nitrate, that due to it's explosive nature gave a very good friend of ours the nickname of Old Man River the Three Fingered Editor. We got film so old that it's only dirt, scratches, a broken gate here or there, some sticky  emulsion, and a nice little vignette because the lights really weren't that bright. There was actually an archive of such film and bring it here to you.
